We have an update on a previous story about a North Carolina mayor caught with his pants down at city hall. The FBI visited a Florida city hall to serve subpoenas. One or more staffers recorded a city administrator in a one-party consent state and now demand an audit. Residents are frustrated after experiencing more than a year of problems with their city’s utility billing software. And have you heard about the “Montana Loophole”?

All that and more news after the job postings.

WI: Staff Recorded City Administrator; Call for Administrative Audit

Former Sun Prairie city employee Sunshine Anderson attended a city council meeting to encourage alders to launch an audit of City Administrator Aaron Oppenheimer. Anderson has since shared recordings of a meeting with Oppenheimer with The Star and Sun Prairie alders. It also appears that other staffers may have recorded meetings with Oppenheimer as well. It is a little vague on that issue.

It should be noted that Wisconsin is a one-party consent state for recordings.

VA: County Admin Pushed Out After Failed Bid to Land Job Elsewhere

Southampton County Administrator Brian Thrower got hosed — twice. First, he was declared the finalist and was about to be appointed as the new city manager in Franklin. But the council controversially voted 4-3 to reject the contract and failed in their bid to re-hire the previous manager.

Now, it looks like Thrower’s flirtation was not well-received by his current bosses as he has now been pushed out and will “retire” in June after being placed on leave.

NC: Employee wouldn’t delete video of visibly aroused Mooresville mayor, then left: suit

Back in January, I shared a story about a frisky mayor who got caught on video with his…um…er…pants down. A third Mooresville employee has now…um…er…come forward with a whistleblower claim and filed a lawsuit naming multiple people, including the town manager.

IT Director Chris Lee alleged in the lawsuit that the video shows “Mayor Carney in a state of partial or complete undress, with his genitalia exposed and his penis visibly erect while inside Town Hall.” His female companion was supposedly just there for moral support and in a different area of the building while he was cleaning vomit off himself after drinking too much.

I don’t know about your kinks — but I have never had an erection shortly after vomiting on myself.
