How about this for an awkward situation. You are a public sector executive leading a large organization and your spouse, who is also an employee in that organization, gets slapped with a harassment allegation. Yeah, that happened.
Not every city or town manager is lucky enough to get a sandwich named after him — but this one is! And in another community, they have decided to name the pickleball courts after their retiring manager.
E-bikes are getting talked about more and more lately and a Florida community is looking to possibly regulate them.
And in Iowa, a city has decided it does not need to provide an unredacted copy of their city manager’s resume to a public records requestor.

IA: Davenport Sued Over Redacted City Administrator Resume

KS: Investigator for public defender’s office says Salina police and prosecutor fabricated perjury charge
These types of stories hit a little different for me nowadays and admittedly may be of less interest to you all. But work with me here.
This is a pretty incredible story in Saline County about how the justice system was abused by multiple people in power. They conjured up a perjury charge on a former police officer who had become an investigator in the public defender’s office.
